Host Responsibilities
As a host on TheHealingStays, you commit to upholding the following standards:
1. Accurate Representation
- Provide truthful descriptions of your property, amenities, and services
- Use authentic, recent photographs
- Clearly state any limitations or restrictions
- Disclose all fees upfront with no hidden charges
2. Guest Safety & Well-being
- Maintain clean, safe, and accessible facilities
- Have emergency protocols and contact information readily available
- Respect guest privacy and confidentiality
- Provide appropriate support for guests' declared needs
- Never provide medical advice or clinical services unless properly licensed
3. Non-Discrimination
- Welcome guests regardless of mental health diagnosis, background, or identity
- Provide equal treatment and accommodations to all guests
- Make reasonable accommodations for disabilities
- Reject any form of stigma or discrimination
4. Professional Boundaries
- Maintain appropriate host-guest relationships
- Avoid dual relationships that could compromise guest welfare
- Refer guests to licensed professionals for clinical needs
- Never exploit vulnerable guests financially or emotionally
5. Continuous Improvement
- Participate in trauma-informed care training
- Respond professionally to guest feedback
- Maintain property standards and cleanliness
- Stay informed about mental health best practices
Prohibited Practices
The following practices are strictly prohibited and may result in immediate removal from the platform:
- Providing unlicensed medical or psychiatric treatment
- Prescribing or managing medications without proper credentials
- Making false claims about healing outcomes or cure rates
- Exploiting guests financially through hidden fees or upselling
- Engaging in romantic or sexual relationships with guests
- Sharing guest information without explicit consent
- Discriminating based on diagnosis, identity, or background
- Using manipulative or coercive practices
- Promoting unproven or dangerous alternative treatments
Zero-Commission Commitment
TheHealingStays operates on a zero-commission model to ensure:
- Hosts retain 100% of booking fees
- Guests pay fair prices without platform markups
- Financial incentives align with guest welfare, not profit maximization
- Transparent pricing with no hidden platform fees
Hosts are expected to honor this commitment by maintaining fair, transparent pricing and never inflating costs to compensate for perceived platform fees.
Accountability & Enforcement
TheHealingStays maintains accountability through:
- Guest Reviews: Transparent feedback system for all stays
- Verification Process: Initial and ongoing property verification
- Complaint Resolution: Dedicated team to address guest concerns
- Suspension/Removal: Action taken against hosts violating ethics standards
- Continuous Monitoring: Regular review of host compliance
